European Patients’ Forum
Nominated for representing pharmaceutical corporations rather than patients
The European Patients’ Forum (EPF) has enjoyed privileged access to European Union (EU) decision making fora. Claiming to represent patients interests the EPF is being secretly funded by Baxter Healthcare, Pfizer and other industry giants. Despite being presented with compelling research from Health Action International about the links between the EPF and the pharmaceutical industry, the European Commission continues to invite the EPF to key consultative meetings.

Voters said about this nominee:
This concerns all of us.
I was going to vote for the Campaign for Creativity as it affects me personally, but it didn’t appear to need any help, and the European Patients’ Forum appears to be much the same concept, and is arguably more cynical.
Because they have failed to change even when they are exposed.
the big pharmaceutical companies seem to think they can get away with anything
Ruthless profiting from peoples bad health has got to be a crime!
European patients are already under-represented, and need fake-representation like a hole in the head
For claiming to represent patients while not allowing transparency of member groups and funding
I am interested in the role of NGOs in the field of social and Health policies and am disappointed when hidden agendas come to light like this.
Because they lobby in favour of direct to consumer advertising by the pharma industry.
An example of corporate greed topping medical need
fake consumer org
Because they all pretend companies and patients interests are the same.
Because they are dependent on drug company money, and are not independent.
The health agenda at teh EU level is in real danger of being hi-jacked by industry interests – we do not need another wolf in sheep’s clothing ostensibly representing patient interests at the table.
I took a bad medicine several years ago and I know how big corporations are good at denying side effects of their products.
Because making big money out of people’s bad health and saying it’s in favour of them is just plain evil…
Pharma & Chemical lobbies are dangerous for humanity
because of wrong situation on this field
Our health is precious and should not be fed upon by big industries
This is as bad as the Campaing for Creativity, and it endangers our health as well!
